Tucked into the foothills above Montecito, this fire-resistant home was a complex build that required careful coordination from the ground up. As the Santa Barbara general contractor, we managed the construction process across every phase of the project, coordinating the trades, materials, schedule, and quality control while working closely with the architects and design team.

The home’s concrete, steel, and glass construction required precise execution and close attention to how each material came together. We coordinated the installation of structural concrete elements, steel components, expansive glazing, and exterior finishes to achieve the clean, modern design while meeting the demands of a hillside site.

Building in the foothills also meant navigating the site conditions and implementing construction details suited to a fire-resistant home. Our team managed the work sequence and coordination between subcontractors to keep the project moving efficiently while maintaining the design intent.

Expansive windows and carefully positioned terraces were constructed to take advantage of the property’s mountain and ocean views. The finished home reflects a straightforward approach to materials and construction, with durable assemblies, clean detailing, and strong connections between the interior and surrounding landscape.
