Root 246, originally created as a farm to table restaurant and now home to The Craft House at Corque, offers a warm dining environment inspired by the character of California wine country. Wide plank walnut flooring, dark wood privacy screens, and an iridescent glass mosaic column bring depth and texture to the main dining room. Cream fabric pendant lights cast a soft glow over the tables, creating an atmosphere suited to both relaxed dinners and special occasions.
Throughout the restaurant, distinct spaces give guests a variety of dining experiences. A dry stacked stone fireplace anchors one lounge, while a stone clad archway leads toward a glass enclosed wine display. The bar features a dramatic wood slat ceiling with integrated lighting, and a private dining room surrounded by illuminated textured glass offers a more intimate setting for groups. Behind the scenes, stainless steel prep areas, commercial equipment, and an exhibition kitchen support efficient restaurant operations.
As the trusted general contractor, we coordinated the restaurant buildout across the dining rooms, lounges, bar, wine storage, kitchen, and service areas. Our team brought together custom millwork, stonework, lighting, glass installations, and commercial kitchen systems while maintaining consistency throughout the project. The completed restaurant balances inviting wine country materials with the durability and performance required of a busy hospitality destination.
