Building Legacy: A New Chapter for Young Construction

Change is happening, marking an exciting new chapter in Young Construction’s journey. But before we look ahead, it's worth remembering where we started. Since 1978, Young has been a cornerstone of Santa Barbara’s building industry. Founded by brothers David and Bob Young, the company achieved early success. Over the years, Young developed a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, unwavering integrity, and dedication to building strong relationships with clients, partners, and team members. What started as a family venture quickly grew into one of the region’s most trusted general contractors, known for delivering both custom homes and commercial spaces.

The team at Young Construction

Heritage of Craftsmanship

From the start, quality has been our signature. Young distinguished itself through a commitment to getting every element right. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of shaping Santa Barbara’s residential neighborhoods and commercial landscape, building spaces for people to live, work, and play. Allow us to share just three of our hallmark projects.

Our Lilac project is a modern home featuring concrete, steel, and glass, with pops of color throughout the interior.

Our Campanil Hill residence is another modern masterpiece, featuring intricate finishes. Both the Lilac and Campanil Hill projects are great places to “live” and capture the quintessential California lifestyle.

Blurring the lines between “work” and “play,” we helped transform The Lark, the original keystone restaurant in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone, into an eclectic Santa Barbara staple! It’s a great place to work and an even better place to unwind with friends.

History of Teamwork

The success behind all our projects is our team. Their experience, commitment, and attention to detail are what drive our results and maintain our high standards. Regardless of the job, our team approaches each project with a focus on quality and reliability.

Many of our employees have been with us for decades. Throughout the years, we've built a strong, close-knit culture that feels more like a family than a workplace. We support one another, communicate openly, and collaborate to achieve our goals. This kind of environment helps us stay consistent and dependable.

Continuing the Craft — Now Under New Leadership

As the page turns to the past era, Young Construction proudly welcomes Jeremy Beauchemin into ownership. A long-time team member, Jeremy spent years learning the business from the inside out, continuing Young’s tradition of leadership from within. With a deep commitment to the values that have defined our company, Jeremy is serving as president and will lead us through this next chapter.

As the company evolves, Bob Young remains an integral part of the team, continuing to support operations and nurture the well-established relationships that have defined Young for decades.

Our Promise: Quality, Clarity, Commitment

As we go through changes, our commitment to high standards remains unchanged. We will continue to uphold the same level of quality, reliability, and professionalism that our clients and partners have come to expect. Our leadership will remain actively involved in every project from day one, ensuring clear direction and accountability throughout the process. Our commitment to delivering cost-effective solutions while meeting project timelines and budgets will remain a central part of our operations. These core principles will continue to guide us, even as we evolve and adapt to new opportunities.

Whether it’s a dream home or a complex commercial project, we've been a trusted name in Santa Barbara’s building scene for almost 50 years. More than just structures, we've built a reputation as a trusted partner and will continue to carry on this legacy.
